Programming Telepathy: Implementing Quantum Non-Locality Games
نویسندگان
چکیده
Quantum pseudo-telepathy is an intriguing phenomenon which results from the application of quantum information theory to communication complexity. To demonstrate this phenomenon researchers in the field of quantum communication complexity devised a number of quantum non-locality games. The setting of these games is as follows: the players are separated so that no communication between them is possible and are given a certain computational task. When the players have access to a quantum resource called entanglement, they can accomplish the task: something that is impossible in a classical setting. To an observer who is unfamiliar with the laws of quantum mechanics it seems that the players employ some sort of telepathy; that is, they somehow exchange information without sharing a communication channel. This paper provides a formal framework for specifying, implementing, and analyzing quantum non-locality games.

This thesis studies the consequences of 'super-quantum non-local correlations', which are hypothetical violations of Bell/CHSH inequalities that are stronger more nonlocal than quantum mechanics allows, yet weak enough to respect special relativity in prohibiting faster-than-light communication. Understanding the power of such correlations will yield insight into the non-locality of quantum mec...
متن کاملNoise Effects in Quantum Magic Squares Game
Quantum game theory, the subclass of game theory that involves quantum phenomena, lies at the crossroads of physics, quantum information processing, computer and natural sciences. Thanks to entanglement, quantum players can sometimes accomplish tasks that are impossible for their classical counterparts. In this paper we present the detailed analysis of one of the pseudo-telepathy games. These g...
متن کاملTwo Party Pseudo Telepathy Games
In this work we have introduced two party pseudo telepathy games with respective winning conditions. One cannot win these games deterministically by any kind of classical protocols. Interestingly we find out that in quantum world, these winning conditions can be achieved if the players share an entangled state. We also introduced a game which is impossible to win if the players are form classic...
متن کاملTwo-player quantum pseudotelepathy based on recent all-versus-nothing violations of local realism
We introduce two two-player quantum pseudotelepathy games based on two recently proposed all-versus-nothing (AVN) proofs of Bell’s theorem [A. Cabello, Phys. Rev. Lett. 95, 210401 (2005); Phys. Rev. A 72, 050101(R) (2005)]. These games prove that Broadbent and Méthot’s claim that these AVN proofs do not rule out local-hidden-variable theories in which it is possible to exchange unlimited inform...
متن کاملQuantum advice enhances social optimality in three-party conflicting interest games
Quantum pseudo-telepathy games are good examples of explaining the strangeness of quantum mechanics and demonstrating the advantage of quantum resources over classical resources. Most of the quantum pseudo-telepathy games are common interest games, nevertheless conflicting interest games are more widely used to model real world situations. Recently Pappa et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 114, 020401, 20...
